I usually like your takes Pete, but practice is where players are evaluated..... This practice shows that Cade hasn't developed much. Mentally he looks the same as the qb ranked 90th last year. If you dropped an NFL scout in the stands with no knowledge of Clemson football and told him to pick out the best qb, he would've picked Pearman.

Yes this is practice. Klubnick and Vizzina is probably getting 85% of the reps, which should make them way better especially with their timing. Pearman just punked both of them. He shouldn’t look better than a guy that has played 4 of these spring practices. With that being said, I believe that makes you the moron.

It is a spring practice but for years now we have seen Clemson offense Suck and people like this guy that wear the orange glasses. Say it's not a big deal and everything people saw is wrong. It matters for a team that has struggled on offense needed to come out.

Only reason you're pumping the breaks on how bad our QBs look is because you're in denial. Let me ask you this question- didn't DW and TL look good in spring ball? I thought they did. Meanwhile, Cade still stares down his targets and Vizzina looks down right awful. And we can, based on the performances, say we aren't encouraged. We can say that. We can also remind ourselves that Cade was bad, even during the five game win streak to end the 2023 season. It's not crazy or stupid or idiotic. Players play like that practice. And if that practice was any indicator, we will need to lean on the run game and defense if 2024 is going to be special. Period.

If it looks like a Cade, makes poor decision like a Cade, throws the ball to anybody like a Cade, has no poise like a Cade, it's a Cade!

College teams should get two exhibition games in late August. Completely set up and arranged by the competing universities. Especially now that the players are becoming more and more employed by the schools every year.

Well...i agree that spring games don't tell us much about a team...BUT i will say...week 1 against Georgia will be an L...

Lawrence played good in his spring games and played good in the reg season, DJ played bad in his spring games and played bad during the reg season, Cade played bad in his spring games and played bad in the reg season. This applies for every position. Every time our defense has done good in the spring game, they did good in the reg season. Every time the OL did bad in the spring game, they did bad in the reg season. Perhaps a spring game performance could actually reflect how good a player or position group actually is? Spring games have pretty much always provided an accurate forecast of our season to come. Simply dismissing what happened today is stupid. One QB throwing the ball into double coverage multiple times, and the other guy being near perfect, absolutely means something. You've got some sort of bias against Pearman. To say what he did wasn't impressive is obvious hating.

It is clear who is the best QB we have. Pearson! I love Dabo but I believe that his loyalty to players sometimes interferes with his judgment, especially with QBs. He should really consider putting Klubnik on the back burner

This is Clubnik 3rd year. He has a full year as a starter. He looked absolutely terrible. If he was a yewr 1 guy then maybe take a wait and see approach but its prettt clear hes terrible and clemson will struggle offensively yet again.

In 2019, some Buckeye fans were practically guaranteeing Justin Fields to be a shitty QB for the Buckeyes based entirely on his performance in the spring game. Buckeye Nation has these idiots too.. 🤦‍♂️

Every year I see our offense look really good they look good in the season. When they look bad they usually look bad during the season. To act like what we just saw doesn't matter isn't right. I've been watching these for 25 years now. This team returned a lot of players. It 100% should have looked better.

I’ve watched both Clemson and UGA’s spring games now for 3 years and the difference in the way the QBs and WRs are synchronized and how the O line looks and the kickers look is dramatically different between the two teams. So no, not all spring games are the same and you can tell some things from that. Now is it the end all be all for how the year is going to go? No. But it does signal where the weaknesses lie and where a lot of work needs to be done from here on out. The disappointing part is it would be nice to have seen material improvement in a second year QB and an O with a new O line coach in place.
